EDITIONS • PRINTMAKING

Before teaching printmaking to undergrads, Val studied woodblock printing with Antonio Frasconi at SUNY PURCHASE, etching, lithography and book arts with John Wood and Jessie Schefrin at Alfred University, lithography at the Bob Blackburn Printmaking workshop, in NYC, oversaw the Screenprinting studio and undergrad course load at MGSA while earning an MFA at Rutgers Center for Print and Paper and finally spent 20 years creating mono prints and screen prints for Civilian Art in Frenchtown New Jersey.

Val now makes very small editions. They are rarely, if ever, more than an edition of 10 originals.
